March 1st Scheduled Maintanance: Outage on CS001 (mystra)

On Saturday, March 1st, beginning at 10 PM Pacific Standard Time (11 PM MST, 12 AM March 2 CST, 1 AM March 2nd EST), ISU will be conducting routine maintenance on one of our servers.  This maintenance window will be scheduled for 12 hours, but the expected outage will be much less.  During this time, the machine will be reboot at least once, but we retain the right to reboot it multiple times if necessary throughout our scheduled maintenance window.

 

The following machine will be affected by this outage:

 

    IP Address: 208.69.182.180

    Name: CS001.isunlimited.net (mystra.isunlimited.net)

 

As of that date, the server will have been up and running continuously for almost 500 days without a reboot or system outage. 

 

During this outage, our support email address, ticketing system, support online MUSH (isunlimited.net 2500), and status blog (http://status.isunlimited.net) will still be available.

MySQL and MU* connections (mystra server)

If you are hosted on our mystra server and use MySQL on your MU, we have made an attempt to contact you by email. This is a secondary notice:

Please change all configuration files to reflect "localhost" and not "127.0.0.1", if you are currently having problems with your MU not connecting to MySQL.

We have had multiple reports of this issue and will look to identify the root cause, however this is an immediate solution that will solve any concerns.
